■ Guidelines for Editors and Referees

• The journal targets a wide range of scientists working in laboratories, universities and corporations. Therefore, papers are expected to be comprehensive not only for specialists of a specific field but also for readers in interdisciplinary fields.
  

• The papers must be original and meet the high quality standards of STAM. The current quality level roughly should correspond to a journal with impact factor value close to 3.
  

• Authors may suggest reviewers (optional) whom they consider particularly suited to review their paper. The editor is, of course, not restricted to selecting reviewers from among those suggested.
  

• After acceptance, the paper will be processed to production (copy editing, proof check) and published both on the web and in printed form.
  

• Published papers will be indexed in major databases, including ISI, METADEX, INSPEC, Aluminum Industry Abstr., Eng. Mater. Abstr., SCOPUS.
